2011 season: 3 weeks early
An early start to the growing season, then lovely weather for the all-important flowering in the vines - three weeks ahead of usual - seems a little too much of a good thing. Now we need a little divine intervention for some much-needed rain and, with any luck, no natural disasters.

Oz Clarke on Bauduc: ‘The zeitgeist of white wine drinking’
‘Absolutely the right wine for 2011: the zeitgeist of white wine drinking – the Bauduc whites hit it bang in the middle,’ said Oz Clarke after his visit this Spring. ‘So fresh, so tangy’ is how he described our Sauvignon/Semillon blend, at just £7.95 a bottle. All three whites are under a tenner.

2010 Bordeaux Primeur Bandwagon
An early harvest often signals a good one, although the possibility of another fine vintage isn’t what the top Châteaux want to talk about as they release prices for their 2010s. Demand is high for the superbrands but caution is the word outside the top names. Here’s my 2010 report on the top wines, and scores compared to Parker’s, plus a price guide.

Case of the Month: The Full Monty
We clearly struggled for an original name for this 12-bottle selection case, even if this does imply that our full range is in the line-up. Well, almost: three different 2010 whites, the 2010 rosé and two reds. We’ve reduced the price to £99.90 – an average of £8.33 a bottle. Delivery is £5 for one case, or free for orders over £120.
